Built on a Legacy of Service
The spirit of Anrig Family Chiropractic was shaped decades ago by Dr. Claudia‘s parents, Ernst and Huldy. Long before the practice on the corner of Clovis and Ashlan became familiar to generations of Central Valley families, Ernst and Huldy Anrig were building something deeper than a business.
They were building a life centered around service, faith, hard work, and caring for others with dignity.ABOUT US
Huldy’s Spirit
Born in Switzerland, Huldy faced hardship early on. She endured poverty, a broken home, and nightly bombings during World War II. As a young teenager, she went to work to help put food on the table.
Without a formal education, she became the first woman to manage a large grocery store chain in Europe while still in her twenties.
After immigrating to the United States and raising three children, she helped Dr. Ernst through chiropractic college. Together they laid the foundation for what would become Anrig Family Chiropractic.
Huldy believed time was a gift to be used well. “You can choose to do good and make the most of what you are given,” she often said.
For 45 years, she served as office manager, encourager, organizer, mentor, and what the family lovingly called the practice’s “chief attitude adjuster.”
Patients felt it immediately. And still do. Even though Huldy passed in 2020 at the age of 93.
Ernst’s Calling
Also, a Swiss immigrant, Dr. Ernst Anrig never planned to become a chiropractor.
Originally pursuing a career in engineering, his life changed after witnessing a chiropractor help his young wife recover from severe pain when little else had worked.
“We got our mom back,” recalls Dr. Claudia.
The impact of that experience is still being felt, generations later.
After graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1969, Dr. Ernst devoted himself to the mastery of the Gonstead adjusting technique. Over the years, he helped thousands of people throughout the Central Valley with a natural solution to better health.
“I was so determined to help my patients,” he recalls. “That’s all I thought about.”
Even today, patients still light up when he visits the practice.
He’s known as Dr. Adorable around here.”

The Legacy Continues
Together, Ernst and Huldy built far more than a chiropractic practice.
They created a culture.
A place where people feel welcomed, respected, and cared for as human beings. That spirit continues today with Dr. Claudia and the next generation of Anrig Family Chiropractic.
As the practice looks toward its next fifty years, it does so standing on the shoulders of two people who spent their lives helping others with compassion, faith, and love.
